BIOGRAPHY

Woody Jackson creates, produces, and mixes award-winning musical scores. Woody moved  to Los Angeles from Richmond Virginia in 1992 and soon became experienced in film score, playing on wide-ranging projects like The Devil Wears Prada, Fun with Dick and Jane and collaborating with David Holmes on the soundtracks to Ocean’s Twelve, Ocean’s Thirteen and The Girlfriend Experience.

A consummate modern composer, Jackson draws inspiration from a wide variety of influences, from Sato to Morricone, Barry to Schifrin, in order to build immersive, integral musical experiences.

While all the time working out of the historic Electro-Vox Recording Studios in the heart of Hollywood, Jackson is also a studio session guitarist, and has recorded with such luminaries as T Bone Burnett (Nashville, Secret Sisters), Daniel Johnston, Primal Scream, Tenacious D, Money Mark, Beck, Ceelo, Empire of the Sun and Keefus Green (Unloved,Killing Eve)

As a producer he has made records with Jason Schwartzman, Mini Mansions (Capitol), Wavves (Warner Brothers), Doyle Bramhall II and the Haden Triplets featuring Bill Frisell, Don Was and Larry Taylor

Rockstar Games has hired Woody for the past 10 years to compose scores for their video games, Red Dead Redemption, LaNoire, Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2.

In 2018, Jackson won the Game Awards-Best Score/Music with Daniel Lanois for Red Dead Redemption 2.
